Mountain Camps

These projects center on cabin camps constructed by the National Park Service in the early and mid-20th century—typically, as part of the New Deal’s recreation and conservation initiatives. These cultural landscapes remain in use as rustic cabin camps today; our research and treatment recommendations inform their day-to-day management and long-term use.
